I blinked and BOOM, Del Taco

Hey there,

I am going to reintroduce myself since it has been a long time and this page has changed a ton.

My name is Derrick and I started writing to work through my place in this world after I made new things more important. I spent most of my adult life messed up and wasting time and my relationships on drugs.

I was able to get a real job with benefits and it even pays into a retirement! As silly as that might sound, I'm pretty proud given that I always thought I'd die of old age living in someone's garage or on the street. That doesn't make for a happy article on this site so I'll skip that.

John WiLliams BLVD!!

I had been so busy working and traveling between Bedford and Bloomington that I almost forgot that the rest of town existed. I saw the Biggby Coffee Billboard about a month ago, yeah not that observant and decided to see where they were building it. I eventually found it but on my way:

Wa-What??

I'm stoked about this place. Wawa was one of the first places I went after my last long term detention. It kind of gave me a few mixed feelings. I hear they pay pretty decent so I'm glad it's in Bedford,

Del-Taco

I went there, wasn't even hungry! It was delicious. I sat outside in my truck and ate. It's weird to sit in a familiar place that is completely changed. I used to knock around here on a BMX when I was a kid. A little bittersweet but things change.

One thing I wasnt prepared for was all the downed trees. It really hurt seeing them all gone. I'm not an environmentalist but I do feel like John Williams is getting too big too fast.

I'm glad to be writing again and will keep doing it as long as I can and people don't mind.
